* A side of beef can be cut multiple ways to produce different types of cuts. For example, the sirloin section of the side can produce top sirloin filets or top sirloin steaks, but not both. This is because the filet and steak use the same meat, but it’s cut differently in shape and thickness.

You can reserve your beef today with a non-refundable $150 deposit. Once your beef has been processed, we'll know the hang weight and grade and send you an invoice reflecting the weight.

Our prices are $10 per pound for prime beef and $8 per pound for choice beef.

Shipping Information

Your half-beef will ship to your house separated into 6-8 different boxes. The meat will be frozen and shipped with dry ice, so you can plan on your meat being as fresh as possible. When the meat arrives, store it in your freezer as soon as possible.
PREPARING TO RECEIVE A DRY ICE PACKAGE
Dry ice can burn your skin because it is much colder than regular ice. Because of this, you should always wear insulated gloves if you have to handle it. It's advised that it is left to melt in its box/package and not bothered.Do not let children play with dry ice or touch it. Inhaling dry ice can also be harmful as it is frozen carbon dioxide. Always keep oxygen flowing through the room or car with an open window if dry ice is around.

How to Store

When your half-beef arrives, you'll need to store it in your freezer immediately. The half-beef can take up an entire freezer or more, so be sure you have ample room to store your beef. We recommend purchasing a stand-up freezer to store your meat in as it's easier to organize than a chest freezer.

Our cattle will be processed this spring and your beef will ship after aging. We are currently researching for the most competitive shipping rate. We will send your shipping information and a shipping invoice this winter.

The recommended serving of beef is 3 oz, so a half-beef will cover ~1,706 servings. You’ll have enough beef stocked for hundreds of meals!

If you don’t have a large freezer, you can still purchase premium beef in bulk. Consider splitting a half-beef with your family or neighbors to maximize space and savings.

About Grades

Prime

$10 per lb

Prime meat is the highest grade of meat you can buy. It’s marbled perfectly with tenderized meat and fat. The high-level of marbling makes them perfect for grilling or other cooking methods.

Choice

$8 per lb

Choice meat is excellent and high-quality, but offers less marbling than prime meat has. It is fantastic to grill or use in other recipes.

To enhance flavor and texture, dry aging beef is a practice that has been around for thousands of years. By controlling the humidity, air flow, and temperature, the aging process allows the beef to take on new flavors coupled with the natural breakdown of enzymes in the beef to improve tenderness.
