POSITION SUMMARY

The Contract Chef is a hands-on culinary role, often solo and at times alongside other chefs on property, responsible for the kitchen and dining experience at Lazy T Ranch. This person prepares, cooks, plates, and serves meals directly to guests, executes the Hospitality Director's recipes with precision and consistency, and maintains the kitchen and service spaces to a standard of extreme cleanliness and organization. The role also includes genuine hospitality — engaging warmly with guests to create a memorable, personal dining experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and cook all meals by precisely executing the Hospitality Director's recipes, techniques, and plating standards
• Plan and time meal service around guest schedules, gatherings, and special occasions
• Serve food directly to guests and hosts, providing warm, attentive, and personable table-side service
• Engage with and entertain guests as part of the dining experience, representing the Ranch's hospitality
• Accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests with care and creativity
• Wash dishes, cookware, and service ware, and reset the kitchen after each meal or event
• Maintain the kitchen, pantry, and service areas in a state of extreme cleanliness and organization at all times
• Present a clean, professional appearance and maintain excellent personal hygiene at all times — clean attire or uniform, neat grooming, and diligent handwashing
• Manage food storage, rotation, and safe handling practices in line with best food-safety standards
• Track inventory and communicate shopping or restocking needs to the Hospitality Director in advance of need
• Set up and break down for private meals, gatherings, and hosted events at the Ranch

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven culinary experience as a sous chef, line cook, private chef, or similar hands-on cooking role
• Demonstrated ability to follow and precisely replicate a chef's recipes and standards
• Comfortable working independently without daily oversight, and equally at ease working alongside other chefs on property
• Strong food-safety knowledge and habits; food handler certification preferred
• Genuine hospitality mindset — comfortable serving and interacting directly with guests
• Exceptional attention to detail and pride in a clean, organized workspace
• Immaculate personal hygiene and a neat, professional appearance when serving and engaging with guests
• Available for the full initial engagement, October 13–20, 2026
• Professional references required — references will be contacted and checked
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or irregular hours around hosting and events

POSITION OVERVIEW

Lazy T Ranch is looking for a dependable, hard-working Ranch Hand to join our team on a full-time, year-round basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys outdoor work, has a strong work ethic, and takes pride in caring for livestock and land.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Feed, water, and monitor the health of livestock daily
• Assist with calving, branding, doctoring, and general animal care
• Move and rotate cattle and horses between pastures
• Build, repair, and maintain fences, water systems and gates
• Assist with pasture management as needed
• Keep barns, corrals, and equipment clean and in good working order
• Perform general ranch upkeep and other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous ranch, farm, or livestock experience required
• Able to rope and doctor cattle on horseback
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods
• Basic mechanical and equipment skills a plus
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license required

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Private Ranch & Aviation Property Specialist to support a private ranch and family operation in Wyoming and Arizona. This varied, active position involves caring for aircraft, vehicles, horses, motorhomes, barns, facilities, equipment, and private property. The ideal candidate takes pride in high-quality work, notices what needs attention, works independently, and is comfortable with physical, outdoor, and seasonal responsibilities. Training is provided for specialized duties, including aircraft-cleaning procedures and operation-specific horse and property routines.

WYOMING RESPONSIBILITIES (APRIL–OCTOBER)

- Wash and detail airplanes, helicopters, vehicles, UTVs, and motorhomes

- Clean aircraft interiors, windows, cabins, leather, carpets, and equipment

- Follow proper procedures to protect aircraft paint, windows, sensors, antennas, and other components

- Maintain hangars, shops, garages, storage areas, ranch facilities, and workspaces

- Prepare motorhomes before trips and clean and reset them afterward

- Clean windows at ranch homes and other buildings as needed

- Organize vehicles, tools, equipment, supplies, and storage areas

- Assist with ranch and property projects

- Keep detailing supplies and equipment stocked and organized

- Identify damage, maintenance needs, or repair issues and report them promptly

ARIZONA RESPONSIBILITIES (NOVEMBER–APRIL)

- Clean stalls and maintain barn areas

- Feed and water horses as directed

- Clean buckets, feeders, and horse areas

- Groom, saddle, unsaddle, and prepare horses for riding and roping

- Wash horses when needed

- Clean and organize saddles, bridles, pads, blankets, and other tack

- Maintain tack rooms, barn storage, and work areas

- Clean horse trailers, vehicles, and motorhomes

- Assist with general property chores and seasonal projects

Previous horse experience is preferred, but training may be provided to the right candidate.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

- Dependable, trustworthy, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative

- Able to work around aircraft, vehicles, horses, equipment, and valuable private property

- Physically capable of lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working outdoors in changing weather

- Willing to learn specialized procedures and relocate seasonally between Wyoming and Arizona

- Professional and discreet in a private family operation

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record

- Available for occasional weekends or flexible hours when owners, guests, or property needs require it
