Bring the classic soup flavor to the grill with these hearty Lazy T Ranch beef patties, melted Gruyere, and rich caramelized onions. Top it off with some fresh-dressed arugula on a toasted bun.

Ingredients

Cowboy French Onion Burgers Ingredients:

  • 4 Lazy T Ranch beef patties
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon beef bouillon paste (mix with 2 tablespoons hot water)
  • 4 slices Gruyere cheese
  • 2 cups arugula
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 4 brioche burger buns, halved and toasted (optional)

Instructions

How to Cook Lazy T Cowboy French Onion Burgers:

  1. Heat your grill to medium-high or place a grill pan on the stovetop over medium-high heat. If using a grill, oil the grates.
  2. Grill the patties, flipping once, until they reach your preferred doneness (5-7 minutes for medium-rare). Before removing, top with cheese and cover for about a minute to melt.
  3. Remove patties from the grill.
  4. In a bowl, toss arugula with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  5. Assemble: Place patty on the bottom bun, add caramelized onions, top with dressed arugula, and serve.
